The CLIMAAX Barcelona Workshop will be held at the CosmoCaixa – Science Museum in Barcelona, Spain, from 10-11 June 2025. The workshop will be followed by the project General Assembly, a working day just for the project partners that will be held on 12 June at the Civil Protection of Catalonia facilities.

Venue & Practical Information
The CLIMAAX Barcelona Workshop will take place in the CosmoCaixa – Science Museum. You can download a PDF with practical information, including details on event preparation, travel to Barcelona, local transportation, meals, and directions to the venue. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel and hotel accommodation, so we recommend booking well in advance.
The project General Assembly (only for partners) will be held on Thursday 12 June.

Workshop Agenda
Question & Answer Session on the CLIMAAX handbook
Two dedicated Question & Answer sessions will facilitate exchanges between implementing institutions, pilot site representatives, and project developers. These sessions will provide an opportunity to discuss challenges encountered, solutions adopted, and gain direct insights into the framework and workflows from their developers. Questions will be collected and categorized through a survey, which will be shared at the end of April after the analysis of the first Deliverables.
Successful Stories Sessions. Framework & Workflows
A series of roundtable discussions will present success stories from the CLIMAAX pilot sites and the selected institutions implementing Climate Risk Assessments using the CLIMAAX methodological framework. The interventions will focus on providing detailed insights into the implementation of the framework and risk workflows, highlighting the challenges encountered and proposing improvements. Each group of presentations will be followed by an open discussion with the audience. The detailed agenda and the selected speakers will be known in May, after the analysis of first Deliverables.
A Poster Discussions during Coffee Breaks and Lunch
All participants, including the 69 selected institutions and all CLIMAAX partners, are invited to present a poster showcasing their institution’s implementations or contributions. This will be a valuable opportunity to foster on-site discussions, dive deeper into ongoing developments, and explore the regional and local multi-risk Climate Risk Assessments conducted by implementing parties at both municipal and regional levels.
